She is the founder and CEO of Buni TV and the co-founder and CEO of Buni Media, a multimedia company based in Nairobi, Kenya, and Los Angeles, California. Buni Media is the producer of The XYZ Show, Kenya's top political satire show, followed by more than 10 million people every month

Marie is a regular speaker at conferences and film festivals worldwide about African media, digital distribution, and the power of mobile video to revolutionize the way content is being consumed on the continent.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Marie had a first career as an award-winning television journalist, working across 3 continents for CNN, Reuters TV, AFP TV and the BBC World Service.
