Montreal, Octobre 4, 2010 - THE SILENT ARMY / L'ARMÉE SILENCIEUSE by Jean van de Velde won Best Feature Film at the 6th Montreal International Black Film Festival, presented by the Fabienne Colas Foundation in collaboration with Global Montreal. The Awards ceremony of this 6th edition was held in a full theater room at Cinema Imperial, Sunday, October 3, right before the screening of Anthony Fabian's closing film SKIN.
SKIN, obtained an honorable mention in the same category. The film THE SILENT ARMY / L'ARMÉE SILENCIEUSE, which was presented to a packed audience at the opening night of the festival, successfully attracted and reached the jury members as much as the moviegoers who turned out in big numbers to understand the harsh reality of soldier kids. The film, distributed by K-Films Amérique, will come out in theaters in Quebec on 19 November.
