Since 2011, the director has been tracking the subjects of his earlier documentary ‘Living among Us' (2003). A relation that has been strengthened between him and the film's characters over the years helped him to carry his small camera and equipments to start a journey that traces their daily life, and to document through two generations the declining of the social, political and economic situation over the most inflamed 13 years in Egypt modern history, specially during the last ten years of Mubarak's regime, then the emergence of a glimmering hope with the 25th of January's revolution, followed by the assassination of the dream and the confusion prevailing until this day.

ملخص الفيلم: منذ 2011 والمخرج يتابع مصائر موضوع فيلمه التسجيلي القديم " يعيشون بيننا" 2003. العلاقة التي توطدت على مدار سنوات ساعدته أن يحمل كاميرته ومعداته الصغيرة ويبدأ رحلته متابعاً للتفاصيل الحياتية لشخصيات الأسرة، ليقدم من خلال جيلين شهادة على تدهور الأحوال السياسية والإجتماعية والإقتصادية في أكثر 13 عام إشتعالاً في تاريخ مصر الحديث منذ السنوات العشر الأخيرة في حكم مبارك إلى بارقة الأمل التي لمعت مع ثورة 25 يناير، ثم إغتيال ذلك الأمل والحلم والتخبط السائد إلى يومنا هذا.
