Em'Kal EYONGAKPA

Em'Kal EYONGAKPA
Fine artist, Photographer
Principal country concerned :

EM'KAL EYONGAKPA was born EYONGAKPA MBI in 1981. Lives and works in CAMEROON. After a post graduate diploma in Botany & Ecology, he took a turn to concentrate exclusively on visual and sound art.
Interdisciplinary artist (with a focus on experimental aspects of photography, video /photography sculptures, sound, and
performance). His use of poetic, symbolic &/ surrealistic imagery seen by some as visual poetry tends to question the obvious. He works mostly with staged fiction photography sequences in a bit to use light to write his mind, experiences and observations, approaching photography mainly from an introspective stand point.
He uses interdisciplinary art practices as a means of expression and high, mass culture and his life as a testing ground,
exploring the human conditioning over time, ego wars and the ever existing freedom & the identity crisis.
